So, florals have been amazingly big this year, I mean ASTRONOMICALLY big - Pixie, Katy Perry, Fearne, Kate - everyone who's anyone has been sporting them. Topshop has made millions on the trend - and judging by sights on campus and in bars about town, you guys rocked the trend too!

But, has the time been and gone for the big-patterned, tight-fitting, floral bonanza? I pondered such a thing after a conversation with a friend on the way to Market Bar the other evening. With summer all but gone and winter peeping over the ever-darkening evenings, it might appear more apt for us all to mirror the season with darkened jumpers and snowflake-style trimmings. Add in a few-hundred sequins and we're well on the way to a christmas bonanza!

Looking through my own wardrobe, I realise I've been caught by the floral bug too, with dresses, jackets and even heels making a nod to the trend. Out on the same night out, I noticed the vibrant brights of many a rose and gerbera exploding onto skirts and jersey-tops with vivacious ferocity. And the confidence exuded from these girls-in-florals made their attire ever more inspiring. Certainly the guys checking them out seemed to think so!

Whether trends ever totally go out, after such a big splash that the florals of this summer seemed to have made, is a matter of fashion debate, and personal opinion if I may add. My experience of the florals of the summer has certainly carried through to autumn, with a few purchases of the kind still in mind. But, whether you guys feel the trend is IN or OUT is up for grabs, and still open for debate.

So, tell us, are they IN or OUT, and what will YOU be wearing in the coming weeks ahead - is it the time for see-through lace attire, or are sequins the new way forward? have YOUR say - post a comment, or send us a written piece for posting now, and get your fashion gossip on the go!
